Born in Iran 34 years ago, where the artist recalls her first works of art with intricate designs on grid paper in color pencil at age 6, she has been artistically active since. After relocating to the United States just as her home country was on the brink of a revolution, she completed her studies in Los Angeles and immediately began work in the financial markets first as an assistant bond trader with Drexel Burnham Lambert and more recently as an international equities trader with Nordic Partners here in NY.
After a successful 12 year run on Wall street, the artist retired last year in May and moved to Miami Beach Florida, where she hopes to devote more time to her paintings.
Her medium of choice is oil, which she has been working with for the past 10 years. Prior to that she experimented with many mediums including, chalk and charcoal, pastels, watercolors and acrylic.
She has sold many of her works successfully thorough private viewings and participation is such art fairs as TOAST (Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour).
This is her first show in New York City at the Andrews Gallery.
